What is Longevity and Quality of Life

Longevity is maximizing the number of healthy years you will enjoy. It is a value that requires lifelong learning, prioritization, and kindness to oneself when you aren’t perfect. It is never to late to start. This blog is meant for individuals who would like to prioritize longevity but don’t know where to start or are overwhelmed with the options.

What components make up longevity?

Mental Health

Mental health is first on our list for two reasons. It is often overlooked personally and societally, and without it, the rest of what we do does not have a “why”

Exercise

Exercise is important for building and maintaining muscle mass, cardiovascular health, and moving fluidly and pain free. We break exercises into four components that help us achieve this. Stability, Strength, Slow Cardio, Fast Cardio. Each pillar has levels from novice to expert that will help you work tough. They should be prioritized at different points in your fitness journey

Nutrition

Nutrition: what and how much food our body needs to be at peak health. This pillar discusses weight loss, eating to gain muscle, protein, and developing sustainable eating habits.

Rest and Recovery

Rest and recovery is the most intersectional pillar that includes sleep, overtraining, and decompression from the mental fatigue that can be associated with longevity as a value.

These components all intersect to help us live longer and better lives and must all be prioritized to succeed.

The Challenge:

With 4 components, and multiple sub components, in each pillar many people believe there is too much to learn and it is too late to start.

As with any big goal, it is important to break it down into smaller parts and prioritize. Our mission is to help guide and education you throughout your longevity journey.
